About Us

We are a body of parents, teachers, assistants, and friends who are concerned with the well-being and spiritual development of our youth.  We feel it is our duty and obligation to teach our children about G-d and His Torah as commanded.  (Deut 4:9-10; Deut 6:6-25).

Our school presently consists of five classes grouped by the student’s ages:  Yeshua’s Lambs I = ages 3 months thru 2.5 yrs, Yeshua’s Lambs II = ages 2.5 yrs thru 3, Torah Tots = ages 4 thru 5 yrs, Tanakh Treasure Hunters = ages 6 to 8 yrs, and Yeshiva Youth = ages 9 to 11 yrs. Classes are held every Saturday each month.  However classes for ages 4 thru 11 are cancelled the last Saturday of the month for Teacher’s Day.

Our leadership team consists of the Ruach HaKodesh, Elder Joe Marks, and Directors Rose Coar and Monique Mouton.

School News

Teachers and Assistants Needed
Please check the schedule for 2010 volunteer needs.

If you are available to teach/assist with a class, please contact our new scheduler, Judy Sanders, 478-934-0359. Teachers and assistants are not required to volunteer for the entire month.

Notaries Available
Judy Sanders and Linda Taylor are available on Shabbat, after service, to notarize any forms brought to CBY. A copy of your driver’s license (or state issued picture ID) must accompany your background check forms for teacher/assistants (18+ and older).

Shabbat School Pool Party
The Shabbat School is looking to increase its Teacher/Assistant volunteer pool. So won’t you come party with us and join our pool. The required documents can be found here. Rose Coar will be the individual receiving the results. To support a 3-month rotation schedule (teach/assist just once) we need at least 77 persons in the pool.

Shabbat School Student Registration
As we prepare to move into our new synagogue, we are updating our student information to ensure our ICE (In Case of Emergency) info is correct.  We are asking parents to please complete our new Student Registration forms.  These forms register the student as a family unit versus the individual card system.  We are hoping this new system will ease the gathering and storing of the information.  Our hope is to request updates every three to four years, as allergies and other information may change.  Go to the new registration form.
